PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Golf Interns Explore Tenerife, the Island Where You Can Never Get Bored!

ERASMUS+

Bristol Academy of Sports

You have countless opportunities to enjoy your time on Tenerife and our golf interns have proven this! The five boys from the United Kingdom arrived only 10 days ago, but they are already involved in a lot of activities: Spanish classes, dancing, surfing, hiking and it is still not over – more adventures await them.

The golfers from the Bristol Academy of Sports – South Gloucestershire and Stroud College participated in Spanish classes the first week of their stay, in the mornings and after lunch breaks. They were challenged in many ways. On the first day they visited the famous Loro Parque, on Tuesday they were introduced to the basic steps of flamenco and right after the dance class they went to the Martiánez beach to fight the waves during their surf lesson. Wednesday they continued the dance lessons, but this time they learned the salsa basics.

Teide walk

El Teide

The most popular symbol of Tenerife is the extinct volcano El Teide, the highest mountain of Spain, where visitors love to plan excursions and reach the top of the mountain, or as some people call it, the top of the world. If you are lucky enough you can enjoy a snowy landscape and burning sunshine at the same time. Well, our interns enjoyed both spectacles. Check out the pictures the golfers made on their trip and you will likely start to plan your excursion to the island as well.

Friday was their last day in Puerto de la Cruz. The boys have received their language certificates and they enjoyed a little volley contest with the other students from the school. Over the weekend they moved to the south of Tenerife where they started their internships at Abama Golf Club on Monday.

Leisure activities with FU International Academy in Tenerife

Erasmus+ project

So during the following weeks they will be doing their work placements at different golf courses and will continue with exciting activities, such as whale-watching and visiting Siam Park, referred to by Tripadvisor as the world’s best waterpark.

Chicos, we wish you a nice experience! Benefit from every minute of your stay on the sunny island!
