- Will there be homework?
Some teachers may give assignments to be completed after class but usually, it’s not the case.
- Will there be a class on national holidays?
If the course is published on a specific week, it means that teaching will take place as usual. Although, it’s not always the case with Spanish courses. If there is one holiday, then students will receive a discount for that week. In the event of two holidays occurring in the same week, we shall ensure that the classes missed during the first holiday are made up. However, please note that the classes missed during the second holiday will be deducted from your invoice.
If there is a public holiday on a Monday the course begins on Tuesday.
- Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the courses?
Every participant receives a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
- Where's the course taking place?
All of our courses are held in our FU International Academy in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.
- What's the daily program at the school?
As our courses are very diverse, there is no particular schedule for all of them. Usually, the theoretical part happens from 09:00 to 13:00 with a coffee break of 15-30 minutes. At 13:00 there is a lunch break for one hour, and after that participants can work on the practical part working on their projects or practicing what they learned. The teacher will be there to answer questions.
For some courses, the schedule will be different. For example, Spanish courses or Spanish for Teachers will have a slightly different schedule. The same happens with Stress Management courses, Motivation, Empathic Communication, etc.
- What if I like a course but the starting dates don't fit me?
You can see the other dates with different courses, I’m sure you can find a few of them that will interest you!
If you have a group that you want to bring, then we can organize an additional starting date just for you. The only requirement is the number of students, it should be six minimum! - In what language will the course be held?
All the courses except Spanish courses are taught in English.
- How much are the courses and what do they include?
The basic course fee is 490€ which includes the following:
- Organizational costs
- Training materials
- Europass & Training Certificate
- Welcome breakfast
- A visit to the Botanical Garden
- Beach volleyball
- Salsa lesson
- Yoga session
We can arrange additional services for you, such as accommodation (hotels & self-catering apartments), half-day and one-day trips, cultural activities, and airport transfer. Most of them can be added during the booking process.
- How early should I book a course? Is it possible to book last minute, too?
We recommend booking your course as soon as you have decided to participate. Last minute bookings may be possible depending on the number of students in our courses.
- How can I book a course with Learning in the Sun?

- How big are the classes usually? Is there a minimum number of students that have to be enrolled?
Our groups (Spanish and Digital Marketing Courses) are made up of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 students, the Soft Skills can have a maximum of 16 students. If only one or two students have enrolled in a group course, the course will normally still take place. However, we will reduce the teaching time to 75% (two students) or 50% (one student).
- Are there classes on the weekend or in the evening?
Our courses at the school take place in the morning and/or afternoon during weekdays.
- Are the materials included in the price?
Everything that you might need in the classroom is included.
