One month
Sometimes you just don’t know where the time went and one month seems to be just one week and the relationships you made seem to last forever – this is what we call internships! Time flies by, you find friends for life and you don’t want to leave.
Hungarian hairdresser
This is was happened to our Hungarian hairdresser apprentices, who arrived at the beginning of March. Since then they have learned new skills, shared their experiences, their traditions and their difficult language with us, shown us how to fight for your dreams and not to give up, even when you have to face bigger challenges than you expected.
“It was a really nice experience. I have worked with wonderful people. I have learned a lot and I can’t wait to use my new knowledge back home. If you are preparing for an internship, I suggest making detailed plans before about what you want to see or try out, because after you arrive on the island, you cannot control your time. I could stay longer, but I think even one more month would not be enough to finish all my plans. Hopefully I will come back one day,” said David, one of the Hungarian boys who spent five weeks with the project group on Tenerife.
Tenerife
Although saying goodbye is hard, we all knew that this moment was about to come. Last week the students finished their internships and flew back to their hometowns to celebrate the Easter holiday with their families.
During their stay they learned new techniques and methods about the latest beauty trends and made a lot of pictures to capture the lifestyle of the island. We hope that this experience will be useful for them in their professional future and that they were packed with nice memories from the island.
We just want to give them one more message on their way: Try to stay as optimistic and open-minded as we met you and come back to visit us!
