FU International Academy Tenerife is a private Spanish language school on the Canary Islands of Spain. We are situated in the green north of Tenerife in Puerto de la Cruz.
But we don’t just teach Spanish! We also specialize in several fields of education, organizing over 70 EU-funded, international mobility projects in the frame of Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, and Erasmus+.
We are an active sending and intermediate agency for institutions, particularly through our hotel, sport and business work placements throughout the Canary Islands. We also act as a host organization for groups and individual participants with our Online Marketing training program, SEOintheSUN.

Tenerife is well-known as a popular holiday destination of the Canary Islands. But it also offers a large scale of internship opportunities in Tourism and other sectors as well. With its mild, sunny climate throughout the whole year, Tenerife is therefore the ideal destination for students and tutors hoping to enhance their learning and soak up some culture!
Due to favourable tax rates, Tenerife has a well-developed tourist and business infrastructure. Many of our interns have even found permanent work here after completing their internships. Thanks to the internationality of the island, it is also a great place for young people to build their network and make friends network with students from all over Europe and beyond.
One of our academies is located in Puerto de la Cruz which was once a small fishing village, but is now a popular tourist resort. It is renowned for its charm, friendly people and, of course, the warm sub-tropical climate. The town is situated on the north coast in the Valley of La Orotava, the greenest and most beautiful area of the island. Plaza del Charco, the main square, is a meeting point for local residents and tourists alike. The centre of town is a pedestrian zone with plenty of restaurants, hotels, bars and shops, and includes landscaped beaches, Playas Jardín and Martiánez. Puerto de la Cruz offers lots of other attractions as well, including the historic Botanical Garden, Loro Park – with its parrots paradise, dolphins and whales – and the wonderful Taoro Park.
