FU International Academy
It’s a new week and we have a new group at FU International Academy Tenerife! Our participants – Eli, Francisca, Vanessa and Tobi – prepared a small overview of their project. Let’s have a look at what they will be doing on the sunny island:
On Monday, 20.07.2015, a group of 12 students, ranging from ages 17-51 years, from Aschaffenburg, Germany, was warmly welcomed at FUIA. We will complete one month of the Online Marketing Course, which includes one week of Spanish language course. For these 4 weeks, we will be participants of the Erasmus+ Programme.
What is Erasmus+ all about?
This programme enables European students to go abroad for an extended period of time to improve their working and foreign language skills. Students only have to cover the expenses of the flight and what they spend here in Tenerife. The rest is settled by the EU. Erasmus+ wants Europeans to grow together and also fights youth unemployment. Going abroad and acquiring language skills will enhance your chances for a well-paid job as many companies have international customers and branches.
In Germany, we attend the Euro Akademie Aschaffenburg, where we either study Foreign Language Correspondent (German/English and Spanish or French) or Euro Management Assistant, which includes 2 foreign languages (English and Spanish/French) as well as administrative and accounting matters. We work extensively with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office so that we develop good skills in these computer programmes. The Euro Akademie Aschaffenburg helps students to have a successful start to their professional careers. With the school-leaving qualification, the students will be able to apply for a variety of jobs.
What do we do at FUIA?
In our one month stay, we are taught about various Online Marketing topics, such as how to create an appealing website and how to write an intriguing epic blog. We are also drilled about our writing skills in German as well as in English. How do you find your topic and title? Where do you put subtitles, pictures, eye catchers etc.? With the project management software, Trello, we do our group and individual tasks while Canva is the programme we use for the visual themes. We meet digital nomads who have their working space wherever they travel as we learn about the occupational area of online marketing. The future of online marketing is very promising and these studies prepare us well for our working and private lives.
Finally…
Our chances of earning a good income will increase substantially with this programme, which can be extended up to 12 weeks. Last but not least, Tenerife is an awesome location to study and provides many opportunities to meet new friends, enjoy beach life and attend parties.
