How quickly time flies! David and Justin did their Spanish language preparation for their internship in our Academy in Costa Adeje, and now their exciting time on the island has already come to an end. A month of life in Tenerife full of sun, fun, learning new skills and experiencing living in a foreign country lies behind them. Here we tell you what they did during these weeks.
Thanks to the Leonardo da Vinci project at their voactional college “Berufskolleg Simmerath/Stolberg”, in cooperation with the IHK-Aachen, David and Justin enrolled at FU International Academy at the beginning of this year for a language course followed by a work placement in the sunny south of Tenerife.
They wanted something related to sports and administration. And besides that they wanted to undertake something, get to know new people and practice their foreign languages. Of course we made their wishes come true.
Everything started with a one week language course at our language school in Costa Adeje. It was hard for both to resist the temptation of the sun and the beaches, but the language preparation was necessary. They were welcomed with open arms by their host families, where they stayed during their stay. They taught them the most important expressions for Spanish every day life.
They both studied bravely and thus were able to start their internships well acclimated the second week of their stay. The internships were realised at the training center “Tenerife Top Training” (also known as T3) in La Caleta, amongst others.
The T3 is a highly modern sports center that extends over several kilometers and harbors well-kept installations for different types of sports. Athletes from all over the world train here – and David and Justin were right in the middle of it. They alternately cared for sportsmen in both gyms and helped out at the office department with administrational tasks.
Both vocational students were able to gain new experience in the area of personal training, looked over the shoulder of the marketing- and administration team and besides that enjoyed the spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean.
Despite all the work during their internship, they also enjoyed their leisure time. They visited the Arona Summer Festival, jumped from the most spectacular water slides at Siam Park and went on excursions in their rented car.
But unfortunately good times always go by too fast and so David and Justin went home after 5 exciting weeks on Tenerife. We hope they will always remember their sunny days on the island and that the newly gained experiences will help them on their way through life. Thank you very much for your visit, David and Justin!
